Vestry of St. Luke'sThe wardens and vestry are the elected lay leaders of the church. Three vestry members are elected each year at the annual meeting to a three year term. Vestry members may serve up to two consecutive terms. The two wardens serve as chief lay leaders of the parish. One is elected each year to a two year term. Wardens may serve up to three consecutive terms. Each year a member of the youth group is elected to serve as a liaison to the vestry and is granted seat and voice, but not vote.
The vestry normally meets the second Monday of each month (excluding July) at 7:00 pm. All members of the parish are welcome to attend vestry meetings. Each vestry member takes a turn leading worship at the meetings, and also writes one article for the VOICE during the year. Minutes of our meetings are posted in the undercroft and on the web. The vestry sets policy for the church. Financial policies are published here. Annual Reports for 2007 are available here.
